The teaching and research office of specialized English consists of 5 full-time teachers, including two professors, two lecturers , one postdoctoral fellows and one teaching assistant. The structure of the team is sound and teachers' teaching and research ability is great. In the teaching of specialized English, the teaching and research team is devoted to the construction of the teaching system based on the theory of English for Specific Purposes (ESP).We apply the“5W1H”method to analyze the key factors involved in ESP teaching，which include objectives，contents，teachers，timing，places，and methodologies．Based on the needs analysis to professional staffs from hospitals and research institutes, we explore to build the “one body with two wings” ESP teaching system in medical university and offer the courses of medical English, traditional Chinese medicine English, nursing English and pharmaceutical English. We aim to improve the students' specialized English ability and help them to apply English freely in their future career development and research field.
